Using the Megaways demo to learn the game
A demo is useful for recognising controls and reading results. Keep the selected edition and its rules together when moving between practice and real-money play.
Read the changing ways count#
A Megaways spin can show a different reel arrangement from the previous one. Use the counter for the current layout rather than treating 15,625 as the number of ways on every spin. Matching symbols pay across consecutive reels starting at the left, so follow the actual highlighted combination when the reels stop.
The classic Eye of Horus slot uses ten fixed paylines. If you have learned that game first, the change to a ways system is the main rule to notice here. The Egyptian symbols and Horus figure may look familiar while their winning combinations follow this edition’s rules.
Watch the upgrades during free games#
Three or more scatter symbols award 12 free games in this version. During the feature, Horus advances the tablet sequence from fans through ankhs, scarabs, winged falcons and Anubis toward the Eye. The sequence makes progress visible above the reels.
The Megaways feature also has its own extra-spin scale: one, two, three or four Horus symbols award up to one, three, five or seven free games. These are the upper limits for the corresponding Horus counts. The classic edition’s three-step scale describes a different game.
Use practice for controls and rules#
A practice session lets you inspect the paytable and recognise feature symbols without treating the displayed credit balance as money available to withdraw. The most useful result is understanding what the controls do and why a particular combination pays.
RTP describes long-run theoretical return for a particular configuration. A short sequence of demo spins illustrates the game’s rules; real-money results remain separate outcomes. When moving to an operator’s game, read its own RTP, total stake and account terms. The game selection process explains that selection process.
Choose the matching demo edition#
Use this page for the six-reel Megaways screen and the classic free play for the original ten lines. If a lobby shows an extra suffix such as Jackpot King, open the rules for that full title before carrying over a feature or RTP figure. The same family name can cover materially different versions.
